Good to know before you go
Dress code
On a desert safari, wear light, loose clothes and closed shoes or sandals, and bring sunglasses and a scarf against the sand. For mosques, cover arms and legs; women also need a headscarf.
Weather
June to September often passes 40°C, so morning and evening tours are the most comfortable. From November to March the days are pleasant, but desert evenings can be cool, so bring a light jacket.
